Act for Transformation is a non-profit association working with a small, experienced and dedicated team in the areas of education and development cooperation. The association offers workshops on global learning, intercultural awareness and peace-building to schools and other institutions and is involved in and committed to the work with migrants. Together with BUNDOstwuerttemberg (Friends of the Earth Germany) the Um-Welthaus (One-World-House) Aalen was opened in autumn 2014. It offers a One-World and environmental education classroom as well as exhibition space, offices and seminar rooms. (www.um-welthaus.de) Act for Transformation has long partnerships with Peace Groups and Civil Society in the Caucasus area and Sudan. You will be working in a team of volunteers from Georgia and Sudan.
Contribute to projects and the work in UmWelthaus of act for transformation and Friends of the Earth (Friddy children group, Braunenberg school)
Preparation of information about the volunteer program and civil society organizations in Georgia
Work in the nearby refugee camp and with children with migrant background, offer regular and holiday activities for them
The volunteers have the possibility to get to know civilsociety projects in Germany, to implement own ideas and initiate own projects and participate in workshops in Germany. The position will start in 1 July 2020 for one year. Monthly pocket money (200 €) and food money (100€), heath insurance and accommodation are provided. You will live in a volunteer flat together with 4 others from different countries. Seminars and language course are also included and the flight cost.
