You can search for an EVS placement in the Database of Volunteering Projects. There you can find projects you might be interested in. However, if you cannot find suitable project and want to contact an accredited EVS organisation, check out the EVS Project Database and contact the hosting organization. Are you aged 17-30 and willing to spend from 2 weeks to 12 months in Europe as a volunteer? All you need are motivation, compassion and the willingness to work and learn from the people in the community. We offer you to benefit from European voluntary Service (EVS). EVS gives young people the opportunity to express their personal commitment through full-time voluntary work in a foreign country within or outside the European Union. The EVS aims to develop solidarity, mutual understanding and tolerance among young people, while contributing to strengthening social cohesion and promoting active citizenship. Volunteers receive free board and lodging, insurance cover and a grant for the duration of the project. To find out more, go to European Voluntary Service.

All active, energetic and passionate young people aged between 16 and 35 are welcome to apply. To check out specific requirements and eligibility criteria have a look on our Local Volunteering Program. You are not expected to have qualifications in any particular area and you cannot be excluded because you don’t have such a qualification. In the end, however, the organisation will select the volunteers it will work with so it is important to select APY Groups that you are genuinely interested in.

APY functions based on active membership concept. This means that we do not have a conventional NGO membership system. If you’d like to join us, please have a look on our Local Volunteering Program and apply to become a volunteer. New applications are considered every 4 month.

General Questions

There are different ways you can contribute to APY. You can volunteer, and spread the word about our work. For more information, please follow the link.

For most of the APY international projects there is a minimum age limit of 18. In most of the cases there is no upper age limit. For European Voluntary Service the age limit is 17-30. For Training Courses the minimum age requirement is 18. APY has specific programs for children and teenagers aged 13-17. Check out each program separately as the age requirements may vary from program to program.

Every program has its own criteria and requirements that are shared along with the call for participants. However, here in APY we very much pay an attention to the Motivation Letter of the applicants. For us a successful Motivation Letter is, first of all, specific. There is no “universal Motivation Letter”. Please do a “homework” and prepare a specific Motivation Letter for a specific APY program you apply for. Give APY some insight into you as an individual, provide some examples of your civic and voluntary involvement, check the grammar and avoid repetitions. Do not copy other letters you have seen in the net or have written for other purposes! And remember, you are not expected to present yourself as a superhero. Be rather objective and realistic.

APY welcomes and encourages young people based in Armenia and everywhere else in Europe to apply and volunteer with APY. If you are based in Armenia and would like to volunteer with APY, please check out our Local Volunteering Program. If you are based in one of the European Union Member States, please check out the European Voluntary Service we offer in Armenia.
