Job Description:
APY is seeking a highly skilled and experienced PR & Communications Manager to join its dynamic team. We’re looking for a professional with experience in both public relations, marketing and SMM management. Our preferred candidate is equipped with great communication skills, exemplary storytelling abilities, and a keen sense of social media strategy. PR & Communications Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing and coordinating all the PR & Communications activities of the organization.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing publicity strategies for the organization’s projects and activities;
- Developing and implementing organizational publicity strategies for projects and events;
- Creating and managing a PR plan, including budgets, timelines, etc;
- Analyzing all media coverage of the organization and drafting appropriate responses;
- Representing the organization at press conferences, interviews, etc;
- Providing the media with information about the organization and its projects, preparing press releases, researching, writing and distributing press releases to targeted media;
- Communicating important announcements to the target group of the organization;
- Dealing with inquiries from the media, liaising with, and answering inquiries from media, individuals and other organizations, often via telephone and email;
- Writing and editing posts, articles and annual reports;
- Organizing events including press conferences, exhibitions and open days;
- Maintaining and updating information on the organization’s website;
- Managing and updating information and engaging with users on social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn;
- Fostering community relations through events such as open days and through involvement in community initiatives;
- Getting the organization featured on radio, TV and the Internet;
- Translating articles and press releases in 2 languages (Armenian and English);
- Preparing presentations for field visits and meetings.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in communications
- Excellent writing and speaking skills in Armenian and English
- Strong understanding of all social media channels
- Superb communication and relationship-building skills
- Exceptional marketing strategy skills
- Thorough knowledge of current industry trends
- Proficiency in MS Office, Canva and Adobe InDesign
- Excellent presentation skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Highly developed attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience with event planning and management
- Established media relationships
- Work experience in non-profit organizations
